YZ125 Electric start (2022-2024)

Description

This is a bolt-on electric starter kit for the Yamaha YZ125. It comes with everything you need to convert your motorcycle to electric start. It comes with a battery box ready to receive an Antigravity 401 or SC-1 battery and includes the complete wiring.

The housing is made of billet aluminum and the gears of solid hardened steel. The kit comes with a new flywheel central section that you will rivet to your oem magnetic flywheel section and keep running the original ignition.

This YZ 125 electric starter kit includes:

• Aluminum billet cover
• Main ring gear
• Crown gear
• Intermediate gear

• Battery box (battery not included)

The complete kit with lithium battery will add 5 lb.

This unit is sold without charging stator, as one battery charge can fire the bike 200 times without needing a charge.

Tools required

• 3/8 drive socket wrench
• Socket wrench extension
• 10mm socket
• Phillips drive bit
• Yamaha M27x1 flywheel puller
• 6mm allen drive bit
• 5mm allen drive bit
• 4mm allen drive bit
• 60-150 in-lb torque wrench
• ½ drive torque wrench

Maintenance

It is recommended to flush the oil after the first ride to eliminate particles generated by the gears first meshing and break in. Taking cover off to remove all particles is recommended versus only using the drain plug.

On a normal basis, change the oil at the same time as transmission oil.
